I submitted a bunch of my better and more interesting senior english papers to associated content and they all got published! Now, even before pageviews, I've already made around $15! I'll definitely be putting out more good articles for them.
You should help me out though...
Increase the pageviews on my articles to help me earn more money for college!
I have 2 more with a pending release date, so we'll see what happens!
I passed the road test 2 days before my permit expired. And now i have a real license on the way in the mail and a temporary one in my wallet. Yay!
I also got accepted by ChaCha so maybe i'll have some luck making some extra spending money on the side. Go me!
I got a job today! At the Suffolk U Second Language Services. I originally went there as a last resort to try and snag a receptionist job out of the 1 available, but it turned out that they needed someone knowledgeable about computers. Specifically Microsoft Office. They hired me on the spot and now I don't have to even re-apply every year because this job wasn't in the listing!
Congrats to me!
Now I just gotta brush up on Access and Excel.
I've noticed that I feel considerably more comfortable around my friends and around my Tom than I do around my own family. Well.. specifically my mom and dad. For some reason I am always on edge with them and always afraid we're going to get into a fight over some small misunderstanding. I can't wait until I go to college. Maybe the distance will get me to miss them more and appreciate my time with them. Then again.. i never feel uncomfortable around my sister and my Tom never makes me feel uncomfortable no matter how much time we spend together.
I hope everything will work itself out.
Should I just do cleaning and shit for people for money when i'm in college?
I mean, if i clean for the right person, i may get in good with some important boston family or whatever. and if not, i'll still have made some cash on the side. I'm pretty good at cleaning and even better when i get paid for it.
it would be nice to not have to worry about this kind of stuff when i have OTHER big stuff to worry about.
I woke up this morning at 8, all ready to shower, when I got a call from my boss saying that I didn't have to come in today. I understand that I'm the newest employee and also the least experienced, so naturally others are going to get my hours, but wouldn't it have been nice to know this kind of in advance? Especially since I saw my boss last night anyways? I could have made other plans or at least let some of my family members off the hook for the day, but now, this day is pretty much wasted.
Seriously, advance notice is good. Remember this.
Working at Plum Tomatoes Pizza is very, very fun. Granted, I don't get the funnest jobs and i freak out when I have to make sandwiches, it's still pretty cool to be able to get some actual work experience outside of my family.
All thanks to my boyfriend :)
Now I just hope to do well for the rest of the summer. And I hope that I don't cause any major screwups or anything while I'm here.
I added this blog to entrecard, by the way. Widget at the lower left hand corner.
I got a big scare recently. Oh my.
What if Little Me ends up being?
I'm kind of excited for college at this point. I still don't have my own laptop though, so I'm hoping to solve that problem by the end of the summer. I'm also actively trying to figure out how not to fuck things up for myself in the time I have left before college. And how to have enough money for books and stuff and then food during the year. At this rate, it looks like i'll be living on 20 dollars per week that don't automatically go to paying something off.
I'm trying to think of ways that i can start up and ensure at least a small income from the internet because I'll have lots of time around computers, but legally I can't work more than 20 hours per week. And I have work-study, so the first 1,250$ that i earn doesn't even go to me, it goes toward my tuition.
I'm screwed. Any ideas are appreciated.
